Overview

SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) – Version 29 Standard Package has been implemented on all kiosk PCs at Westmead Hospital Library, as well as PCs located in Mount Druitt, Blacktown, Auburn, and Cumberland Hospital Libraries for WSLHD staff and students to use.

 

Access

SPSS can be accessed on designated WSLHD Library kiosk PCs. We have purchased two concurrent licences for SPSS, which means that two people can access it at the same time. If a third person tries to logon, a popup message should let them know that all available licences are in use. 

Therefore, Booking is essential. Please contact your Library to lock in a time

There is no remote access available.

The Library does not provide training. If you need assistance, you may find the following resources helpful:

  • UCLA (The University of California, Los Angeles) has a dedicated SPSS site that includes seminars, learning modules and examples.
  • Statisticians are able to provide statistical support for research conducted through the WSLHD Research and Education Network. 
  • The Library (hardcopy) books below are held at the HelpDesk for short-term use within the Library
