WSLHD Library updates during COVID-19

Service updates by Library

  • Anyone entering the library must use sanitizers on entry and exit
  • Everyone needs to have a minimum space of 1.5 m between themselves and others.
  • Use hand wipes to clean computers/desks before and after use.
  • To arrange face-to-face or virtual training please email WSLHD-AuburnHospitalLibrary@health.nsw.gov.au.
  • If you need to request document delivery you can request this using CIAP or fill in the document delivery form.
  • If you need a literature search conducted for you please fill in the literature search form.
  • Auburn Hospital staff can swipe into the library at any time.
  • Notre Dame medical students will have their library access arranged during orientation.
  • Other WSLHD staff can see security to request after hour access.

The Library has resumed opening to staff and students but some hours maybe restricted so please check the notice on the door. If unattended, Library staff are still available to help. Please contact the Peter Zelas Library when Mount Druitt is closed on 9851 6025. We continue to offer:

  • Face-to-face training has now resumed but social distancing rules still apply. Contact the Library staff. Email WSLHD-MtDruittHospitalLibrary@health.nsw.gov.au to arrange a training appointment for either virtual training or face-to-face.
  • If you need a literature search conducted for you please fill in the literature search form.

All items on loan have had their due date extended, so you don’t need to worry about returning items or incurring overdue fees. If you want to return items though there is an after-hours chute near the front door of the library.

Westmead Hospital Library staff are back on site from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The Library will be closed from 18 December 2021 and reopening on 10 January 2022. Opening hours may vary based on staff availability.

Staff and eligible students will continue to have 24-hour access to the library by swiping in with their hospital ID.

  • The occupancy limit for library meeting rooms has been modified to comply with NSW Health guidelines and is subject to further change.
