Make the Most of Google Scholar

Finding WSLHD Libraries' resources using Google Scholar

Google Scholar can be used to find WSLHD Libraries resources from either in the facility or from a remote location. The only difference is that in the facility, Google Scholar already knows to show results from the WSLHD Libraries, whereas from offsite location, you must select WSLHD Libraries and save it as a preference.

Changing settings to link Google Scholar to your Library databases

  1. Open Google Scholar
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click on Library Links via left-hand menu.
  4. Type BMDH Libraries in the search box provided.
  5. Click on the blue magnifying glass icon or press the Enter key.
  6. Place a tick in the checkbox next to:
    • BMDH Libraries
  7. Click on Save button.
  8. Run a search across Google Scholar.
    • To view a article full text, click on the @ BMDH Libraries link to the right of the selected item. You may be prompted to enter your MyAthens credentials.
