Virtual Library Orientation

Step 4: Set up mobile and remote access to ClinicalKey and ClinicalKey Nursing

WSLHD Libraries provide access to ClinicalKey and ClinicalKey for Nursing.

An Elsevier ClinicalKey account (which gives access to both databases) is necessary in order to access some features such as downloading e-book PDFs, downloading images to powerpoint for presentations and tracking your CME (Clinical Medical Education) activity within ClinicalKey. An account also enables remote access.

To create a login and download the app follow the steps below.

  1. To access ClinicalKey click here using a work computer. For remote access use MyAthens (see step 5 of the virtual library orientation to create a MyAthens login.)
  2. Select Register on the top right hand corner

  3. Fill in the required details then select on Register
  4. Open the App Store on your mobile device (Available in Google Play for Android devices, and iTunes for Apple devices)
  5. Download the app and sign in to your ClinicalKey account
  6. Both ClinicalKey and ClinicalKey Nursing  are accessible through the app
